The model building workshop has moved!
21.01.25
As of mid-December, the Model Building Workshop of the Architecture Green Building study programs has relocated and is now open to students. The workshop is available Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The spacious facility is equipped with various tools, including a laser cutter, and is already being used for presentation models as part of this semester’s design studios.
Exciting upgrades are planned for the near future, including additional equipment, a chill-out zone with a kitchenette, a library, and a comfortable lounge area. An outdoor kitchen with a bar and seating area is also in the works, aiming to create a vibrant and functional space for students.
The goal is to establish the workshop as a dynamic and creative environment where architecture students can collaborate and exchange ideas in a relaxed, informal setting.
In addition to model building, the Green.Building.LAB hosts courses, presentations, hands-on exercises, and the sus^cool Summer School.
In the coming years, the area surrounding the workshop will serve as the creative hub for the [Bau]Kasten project, producing innovative, dismantlable pavilions and tiny houses made from bio-based materials. Situated at the far end of the campus, this area is set to become an inspiring zone for creativity and exploration—fully embracing the spirit of Science City!
