More space, less noise – upgrading the Green Building Lab

More space, less noise – upgrading the Green Building Lab
Exciting developments in our Green Building Lab: following the request of our students, the lab now features a new enclosed workspace and an overhead gallery!
Responding to the need for quieter working conditions—especially during the intense model-making phases—a dedicated room for the laser cutter and other noisy equipment was constructed. And impressively, it was built in just one day. This separation allows for focused, undisturbed work in the main lab space.
Above the new room, a gallery will provide additional storage space for models and materials. What’s still missing? The staircase to access the gallery! This is currently being designed by civil engineering students and will be constructed during a workshop in early July. The project will also include seating areas and a small tea kitchen.
Slowly but steadily the lab is turning into a true creative hub!
